Reporting to the Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for picking up waste materials along designated routes. You will be operating various type of trucks – tandem axle truck with a rear load, side load or front-end load body (requirement to operate the unit from a right-side drive cab during collection is a possibility). This position is offered in both our Calgary & Edmonton locations.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school or GED equivalent is considered an asset
- Minimum class 3 Operator’s License with air brake “Q” endorsement required
- A clean drivers abstract is required
- Pre-employment D&A; Test before hire
- A minimum of 2-4 years of automatic side-load truck driving/operating experience is required
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision (at times)
- Lifting up 50 lbs repetitively throughout the day
- Shifts may require occasional extension to ensure work is completed fully
