Animal husbandry involves the daily care of a variety of birds, reptiles, and small mammals. This includes responsibilities such as animal health management, diet preparation, exhibit cleaning and maintenance, record keeping, and animal enrichment.
The successful applicant will also participate in educating our guests on various topics, including conservation, CAZA (Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums), animal training, tours, and overall animal care.
Availability must include weekends and holidays.
Previous experience in animal care is an asset, and strong customer service skills are required.
