THE POSITION

As the Care & Inclusion Lead, you will provide hands-on coaching, mentorship, and day-to-day support to team members with diverse abilities, helping them develop workplace skills, build confidence, and gain meaningful employment experience in an inclusive, supportive, and fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in creating a positive team culture while ensuring operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences at every event.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Provide hands-on coaching, guidance, and mentorship to team members with diverse abilities, fostering confidence, independence, and workplace success.
- Support team members in achieving individual and team goals by providing encouragement, constructive feedback, and inclusive leadership throughout each shift.
- Promote an inclusive, respectful, and supportive work environment where every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute.




- Deliver exceptional customer service by creating positive interactions with guests and responding professionally to questions or concerns.
- Assist with event readiness, operational execution, and troubleshooting to help ensure smooth and efficient service during events.
- Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to support operational priorities and contribute to successful event execution.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflow, and team efficiency while maintaining high service standards.
- Model professionalism, accountability, and teamwork by leading through example and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Actively participate in all safety programs, procedures, and training while adhering to established workplace safety policies and regulations.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and concession support spaces throughout the shift.
- Organize, stock, and replenish condiment stations and deliver supplies efficiently throughout the venue to support event operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

THE INDIVIDUAL

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental, physical, or neurodiverse disabilities.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising employees or volunteers.




- Experience in hospitality, food service, retail, customer service, or event operations.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Robust interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and solution-focused under pressure.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and creating positive experiences for both guests and team members.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.

- Psychology

- Preferred Training (Assets)

- Mental Health First Aid
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) or Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA)
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Trauma-Informed Care
- Autism Awareness Training
- Supported Employment or Job Coaching experience
- Inclusive Communication (including person-first and identity-first language awareness)
- Conflict Resolution and Mediation
- Leadership, Coaching, or Supervision Training

Please note that this position is based on the event schedule in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. Shift lengths vary and require flexible working hours.
