We are a takeout Indian food joint located in Conestoga Mall, Waterloo, serving authentic, flavourful Indian dishes to our growing customer base. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our team — someone who brings a love for Indian food and a commitment to great customer service.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Server with knowledge of Indian cuisine. This is a dual role combining food preparation support with direct customer-facing responsibilities at our takeout counter. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a quick-paced mall food environment, takes pride in authentic cooking, and can engage warmly with customers.

Responsibilities

- Serve buffet dishes and snacks according to our established recipes and quality standards
- Serve customers at the takeout counter with a friendly, efficient, and professional manner
- Handle customer orders accurately, including in-person and phone/online orders
- Ensure all food handling and preparation complies with Waterloo Region health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and front counter at all times
- Assist with mise en place, ingredient prep, and restocking during and between shifts
- Work collaboratively with the Chef and team members to ensure smooth,



timely service during busy mall hours
- Monitor inventory levels and flag supply needs to management

What We’re Looking For

- Hands-on experience with Indian cuisine — knowledge of spices, curries, breads, and regional dishes is a strong asset.
- Comfort with tandoor / clay oven operation is a strong asset
- Prior experience in a takeout, food court, or high-volume kitchen setting preferred
- Solid understanding of food safety practices and WHMIS/food handler standards
- Strong multitasking ability — this role moves between kitchen prep and customer service
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine passion for food
