About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of Day Hospital, Mental Health & Addictions, the incumbent will work with Day Hospital to provide Occupational Therapy services as part of a multidisciplinary treatment plan and consistent with the principles of recovery

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited University
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT)
- Registered member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia
- Experience in developing and providing group and individual psychoeducation
- Demonstrated skills in completing functional assessments
- Demonstrated ability to build client capacity to promote occupational performance
- Evidence of ability to work independently, with a multidisciplinary team as well as with both hospital and community based services/agencies.
- Demonstrated use of innovative problem solving and application of evidence based practice to patient services.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

- Permanent full time position; 75 hours biweekly

Compensation and Benefits

$38.43 - $50.99 Hourly
