Role Overview
We’re hiring an Operations Manager for our Ottawa location to own the execution side of the business: installs, service, scheduling, inventory, and job profitability. You are the link between sales, technicians, suppliers, and the homeowner.

You’ll manage the flow of work from “job sold” to “job completed,” making sure crews are scheduled, materials are on‑site, customers are informed, and jobs hit our gross margin and labor targets.

You Will:

- Own the daily schedule for install and service crews to maximize billable hours and on‑time completion
- Coordinate technicians and installers, removing roadblocks before they slow a job
- Own inventory and ordering: right equipment, right place, right time, minimal emergency runs
- Monitor job gross profit, material spend, and labor hours; flag and fix margin leaks
- Handle homeowner communication from post‑sale to completion, including escalations
- Work closely with sales for clean handoffs and realistic install timelines
- Reduce callbacks and rework by tightening SOPs and feedback loops with the field
- Document and improve processes as we grow so problems get solved once, not weekly





Outcomes You’re Accountable For:

- Hitting branch‑level gross margin targets on installs and service
- Improving labor efficiency (billable vs. paid hours, first‑time completion rate)
- Reducing callbacks and “fire drills” caused by scheduling, parts, or communication

Requirements:

- 3+ years in HVAC, home services, or a logistics‑heavy trade operations role (scheduling, dispatch, inventory, or job coordination)
- Proven experience juggling many moving parts without dropping details
- Comfortable with numbers: basic P&L;/job costing, spreadsheets, and tracking KPIs
- Strong written and verbal communication; calm with upset customers
- High ownership mindset: you see problems and fix them without being asked

Nice‑to‑Haves:

- Experience managing or coordinating field technicians
- Project management training (PMP/CAPM or in progress)
- Experience building or tightening SOPs in a growing company
