We are seeking an experienced Prepress / Preflight Graphic Designer to join our fast-paced production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives under pressure, and understands the importance of delivering press-ready files accurately and on time.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing customer artwork, preparing files for production, troubleshooting artwork issues, and ensuring every file is print-ready before it enters production. You will work closely with our customer service, production, and sales teams to maintain exceptional quality and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

- Preflight all incoming customer artwork for print production.
- Prepare press-ready files for both digital and large format printing.
- Check files for bleeds, margins, image resolution, colour space, fonts, transparencies, overprints, and trapping.
- Make minor artwork corrections and communicate file issues to customers when required.
- Create proofs for customer approval.
- Operate within established production workflows and deadlines.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- Work closely with production staff to ensure jobs are completed correctly and efficiently.
- Maintain organized digital file management.

Qualifications





- Minimum 3 years of professional prepress or graphic design experience in a commercial print environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including:
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Strong understanding of print production processes and colour management.
- Experience with digital and large format printing is considered an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must speak, read, and write fluent English.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
