Job description
Reporting to the General Manager, you will perform, review, and oversee the hotel’s daily accounting operations. You will ensure that all documents are up to date and sent to the regional office within the required deadlines. You will also assist the RIMAP Hospitality regional office with the monthly closing of the books and various special projects.
Main responsibilities
- Manage hours for management and unionized employees
- Reconcile banquet events with contracts
- Review and correct daily revenue reports
- Record and reconcile daily deposits (including credit cards)
- Manage accounts payable: matching, coding, and recording invoices (Sage300, Adaco)
- Follow up on requests from clients, suppliers, department heads, and the regional office
- Contribute to internal control (policies, procedures, monthly/annual inventories)
- Participate in the Manager on Duty program
Required qualifications
- Bilingual in French and English (spoken, written, read)
- Strong accounting skills and knowledge of basic hotel software
- DEC in a related field OR equivalent experience
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Assets: Experience as day/night auditor or accounting technician
