Dental Benefits Adjudicator

One (1) Permanent Full Time

Monday to Friday – 7 Hours/day Edmonton, Alberta

Bigstone Health Commission in Edmonton, AB is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and dependable Dental Benefits Adjudicator to join our talented Health Team. Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assess and manually adjudicate dental benefit requests.

· Act as an advocate for all BCN members of the health benefits program.

· Work with the members and service providers in a pleasant and efficient manner.

· Provide program information, advice, and assistance to members and service providers.

· Assist with manual invoice preparation, accounts receivable tracking, and related documentation.

· Maintain database and provider files.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Must have excellent interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

· Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

· High attention to detail and accuracy.

· Working knowledge of invoicing and account receivable processes.

· Dependable, organized, and accountable.





Education and Experience:

· Dental Office Assistant Certificate/Training or equivalent is a requirement.

· Certificate, Diploma, or Degree, and or equivalent training and combined experience.

· Minimum 2 years work experience in an office/medical/or dental setting.

· Knowledge of the Non-Insured Health Benefits programs is an asset.

· Experience with Microsoft Office programs.

· Standard First Aid with CPR.
