This position requires the ability to accurately post financial transactions and create financial reports from that information. The Bookkeeper maintains all necessary and appropriate records, files and processes to ensure the smooth and compliant financial operation of our Clients, focusing on accuracy and satisfaction.
Duties:
- Setting up and maintaining financial records using computerized bookkeeping software.
- Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balances of books, and maintain general ledgers.
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, supplier invoices, government remittances as well as other expenditures.
- Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers’ compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents.
- Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.
- Administer payroll, maintain records, manage remittance,
prepare T4 and T4A submissions.
- Post AP and AR, record cash receipts.
- Track receivables and generate aging reports.
- Execute all tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintain a high standard of customer excellence.
Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Quickbooks, QBO, Excel, SAGE
- Valuable organization and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and respect deadlines
- Access to a computer and a reliable internet connection
- Preference will be given to candidates with a degree or diploma in business or administration or certification in bookkeeping or financial management
