Journeyperson & Apprentice Electricians - Mount Uniacke, NS

Located in Mount Uniacke, NS, our client is a well-established provider of electrical services, serving residential and commercial clients across the region.

Our client is looking for a skilled and dependable Electrician to support their growing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams accurately.
- Install, route, and secure electrical wiring through walls, conduits, and structural components.
- Fabricate and install EMT (electrical metallic tubing) or rigid conduit systems.
- Mount electrical panels, fixtures, switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
- Terminate wires and connect transformers, control panels, and distribution boards.
- Use diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters) to troubleshoot and verify electrical systems.
- Adhere to local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures and other critical safety protocols.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects,



and other tradespeople on-site.
- Maintain accurate and timely service records for all completed work.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in electrical work.
- Electrician certification (Apprentice or Red Seal certification).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, Fall Arrest, WHMIS) an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and communication abilities.
- Able to read and interpret technical diagrams.
- Able to lift heavy materials, bend, and work in confined spaces.
