We are currently seeking a CAD Technologist to join our Building Engineering Division to work out of our Kingston office.
MTE Consultants is a multidisciplinary engineering firm that has been shaping Ontario since 1985 with offices in Kitchener, Burlington, Toronto, London, Stratford, Ottawa and Kingston. Our services include civil and structural engineering, building and environmental science, and land surveying.

Responsibilities
- Prepare building envelope and structural repair drawings for a variety of building restoration projects using current Autodesk CAD software;
- Use Sketchup and Photoshop software to prepare renderings for cladding renovation projects;
- Additional duties, as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma in Architectural Technician/Technology or Civil Engineering Technician/Technology;
- 0-2 years of experience in a similar role (including co-op experience);
- Certified Technician (C.Tech.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation or working towards C.Tech. or C.E.T. designation;
- Architectural Technologist (MAATO) designation, or working towards MAATO designation;
- Experienced with AutoCAD software;
- Knowledge of a variety of software including CAD, Sketchup and Photoshop;
- Understanding of applicable design standards, Ontario Building Code, and general engineering principles;
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel,
and Outlook;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent time management skills;

Salary Range
- $23.79 - $29.74 per hour
