Doher & Co. Chartered Accountants is a local firm of Chartered Professional Accountants located in Windsor, Ontario.
We provide audit, accounting and tax services, as well as a variety of business advisory services to a wide range of clients in industries ranging from automotive to manufacturing to retail to professional services, such as doctors, lawyers and dentists. We also provide services to the non-for-profit sector.
We require an enthusiastic individual who is willing to work in a dynamic environment to fulfill a full time position.
Primary responsibilities will include the following:
- Provide management and leadership to team members on assurance and non-assurance engagements
- Provide detailed review of audit, review and compilation working paper files to ensure compliance with professional and firm standards
- Preparation of financial statements and tax returns on a timely basis that meet professional and firm standards
- Performing audit and assurance engagements as required
- Manage budgets on all engagements
- Communication directly with clients and with partners and other professional staff
- Preparation of client billings for review by the managing partner
- Mentoring of junior staff members
- Develop new business opportunities with existing client and new clients
Job requirements include:
- A current CPA designation with a minimum of six years of public accounting experience
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Possess robust leadership and mentoring skills
- Experience in managing a team
- Possess excellent written and oral communications skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Caseware, Caseview, Simply Accounting, Quickbooks and Taxprep software.
- Business development skills is an asset
