We are looking for an experienced Shipper / Receiver with a valid forklift certification and a minimum of 2 years of hands-on forklift operating experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for shipping and receiving activities, warehouse organization, inventory handling, and the safe operation of a forklift.

Responsibilities

- Communicate with truck drivers regarding deliveries and pickups.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Operations and other departments.
- Ensure products are handled carefully to maintain product quality and integrity.
- Prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping and receiving documents.
- Assemble orders and prepare pallets, including packing, wrapping, and labelling.
- Organize and place materials in designated storage areas.
- Load trucks and ensure the accuracy and quality of outgoing loads.
- Inspect and verify incoming products against shipping and receiving documentation.
- Unload incoming materials and store them in designated areas.
- Organize stock and maintain cleanliness and organization in cooler, freezer, and warehouse areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits.
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Follow all company health and safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid forklift certification.




- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on forklift operating experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a forklift safely and competently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a quick-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to repeatedly lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in wet, cold, cooler, and freezer environments.
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is an asset.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Forklift Practical Assessment

Please note: As part of the interview and selection process, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a brief practical forklift assessment to demonstrate their ability to operate a forklift safely and competently.
