Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Operators/Labourers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, and small equipment to support various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe operations in office. The successful candidate will play a vital role in executing complex construction tasks with precision and professionalism.

Duties

- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes to perform excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks
- Conduct routine daily inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Support site development by moving materials and preparing the ground for construction activities
- Follow safety procedures and regulations to maintain a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and equipment usage
- Utilize software apps to track time, complete safety documentation, and complete reports.
- Report to and take direction from immediate supervisor/foreman/superintendent.




- Ability to pass pre access & post incident D&A; testing.

Qualifications

- Proven experience labouring around equipment / operating excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, rock trucks, and backhoes in a forestry and/or civil construction setting.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Commercial driver's license preferred but not necessary.
- Knowledge of forestry services, ground disturbance, road building, bulk excavation, sloping, grading, reading grade and laser, survey, and other construction techniques are assets.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adhere to project deadlines
- Valid driver’s license & own transportation. This is not a public transportation accessible position.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
