Speech Specialists Whitby and Pickering is a private speech therapy practice with clinic locations in Scarborough, North York, Whitby, Mississauga, Hamilton, and Pickering.
We provide private services at our clinics and also provide school-based rehab therapy in TDSB and TCDSB. Our client base is primarily pediatric and includes families from diverse backgrounds with varying needs.
The job involves various administrative responsibilities, such as:
- answering clinic phone calls and providing information about services
- scheduling, rescheduling and cancelling therapy appointments as per company policy
- checking voicemails and responding to client e-mails
- greeting clients and assisting with filling out consent forms and clinical paperwork
- managing patient flow in the therapy rooms and waiting room
- managing case loads for the various speech therapists on staff
The candidate should possess:
- Great communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelors Degree an asset - knowledge or interest in psychology, linguistics, or speech
- Experience as an administrative assistant an asset but not required·
- French-speaking ability is considered an asset.
