Otto's Cache is Jasper's first locally owned café, bakery and curated provisions market. Serving an expertise and craftsmanship of a new era of Jasper hospitality offerings. In Spring 2025, Otto's Cache opened its doors to Jasper National Park. The cafes focus is on serving high quality and attention to detail on both dine-in and take-away offerings. Such as Australian style specialty coffee and brunch, fresh bakery items, fresh bread, sandwiches and salads. The market’s main focus will be providing our community with locally sourced, exciting artisanal provisions, making great food accessible to our community year round. All made possible by local Canadian suppliers.
We’re looking for a Cafe All-Rounder to join the team, brewing delicious coffee with a focus on serving quality specialty coffee to Jasper while delivering a fun and engaging customer experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Engaging with staff and customers about our coffee, menu and brand
- Greeting and taking orders from customers
- Handling cash and taking payments
- Ensuring all bake cases, fridges and products in the cafe are stocked and looking presentable
- Assisting Barista in preparing and fulfilling orders
- Running food to customers
- Pouring and serving of alcohol
- Upholding high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the cafe
Requirements:
- 1+ year experience in a cafe, ideally brewing specialty coffee
- Barista skills and knowledge
- Alberta Pro-Serve
- A robust work ethic with a customer-focused attitude
- A positive, friendly and professional demeanour
- The ability to work in a fast-paced cafe environment, multi-task and communicate
- Handle customer complaints and queries in a professional and courteous manner
