Robert Half is seeking a Property Accountant on behalf of our client, a reputable and growing real estate organization. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with experience managing financial reporting and month-end close.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties
Complete month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Review and analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances
Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, and balance sheet accounts
Coordinate with property managers to develop budgets, forecasts, and operating expense analyses
Assist with year-end audit support and tax preparation documentation
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and relevant reporting standards
Support ad hoc financial reporting and special projects as needed

Previous experience with property accounting or real estate industry experience preferred
Understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting processes
Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with property management systems is a plus
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple properties, deadlines, and competing priorities
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
