About the Role
Hire Ready Staffing is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Janitorial Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at a busy commercial site near Scarborough Town Centre. This is a direct placement prospect — you'll be hired directly by our client, not as a temporary contractor.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and schedule a team of janitorial/cleaning staff
- Conduct daily quality inspections and ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Train new staff on proper cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Handle staff scheduling, attendance, and shift coverage
- Respond to client concerns and ensure service satisfaction
- Enforce health and safety compliance on site
- Report to facility/site management on team performance
What You Bring
- Previous supervisory experience in janitorial, cleaning, or facilities services
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a team
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures (WHMIS an asset)
- Reliable and able to work flexible hours as needed
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
