ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)

- Current certificate of competence as an RN in Ontario and registration in the Extended Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Masters prepared from accredited University preferred.
- Current certification in BCLS
- Knowledge of Nurse Practitioners' prescribing guidelines as set out by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Member of RNAO with qualified liability insurance.




- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the hospital and community setting with Mental Health and Addictions background.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge of the relationship between mental health and addictions and physical health.
- Advanced clinical judgment and comprehensive skills in mental health assessment, and treatment, with the ability to effectively adapt to constantly changing and unpredictable situations.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Effective interpersonal listening, time management, organizational, teamwork, leadership, problem solving and networking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as computer literacy
- Satisfactory attendance.
