Flooring Installer

About the Role

Three Leaf Contracting Inc. is looking for an experienced and dependable Flooring Installer to join our growing team.

You will be responsible for installing a range of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl plank, sheet vinyl, and tile. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, pays close attention to detail, and understands the importance of delivering a clean, professional finish for every client.

The right candidate will be comfortable working independently and alongside other contractors while maintaining Three Leaf Contracting’s standards for quality, professionalism, and customer service.

Responsibilities

- Measure rooms and calculate material requirements accurately
- Inspect and prepare subfloors before installation
- Level, clean, repair, and apply underlayments or adhesives where required
- Cut, shape, and install flooring materials using appropriate hand and power tools
- Install hardwood, laminate, vinyl plank, sheet vinyl, tile, trims, transitions, and moldings
- Read and follow project plans, measurements, layouts, and technical drawings
- Complete finishing work, including sealing, caulking, trimming, and seam preparation
- Identify potential installation issues and communicate them before work proceeds
- Protect customer property and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Remove installation debris and leave completed areas presentation-ready
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and manufacturer installation requirements
- Represent Three Leaf Contracting professionally when working in clients’ homes or businesses

Requirements

- Proven professional experience installing flooring
- Strong knowledge of flooring preparation and installation techniques
- Experience installing hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile




- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and complete detailed finishing work
- Proficiency with flooring tools, saws, measuring equipment, adhesives, and related power tools
- Experience reading project plans, layouts, or technical drawings
- Knowledge of subfloor preparation, leveling, caulking, sealing, and moisture considerations
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines
- Professional communication skills and a respectful approach when working with clients and team members
- Carpentry, renovation, or general construction experience is considered an asset
