We are recruiting for the following permanent employment opportunity in Vaughan:

3 and 4 Axis CNC Milling Setter/Machinist

Our client is an industry leader in end-to-end manufacturing and engineering solutions for the military and defense industries. They are experts in precision CNC machining with in office capabilities in sheet metal fabrication, certified welding, finishing and assembly.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the 3 and 4 Axis CNC Mill Setter/Machinist would be responsible to set up and operate CNC mills, conduct visual and measuring quality checks, other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will have a great attention to detail and will maintain company standards in the areas of housekeeping, attendance and teamwork.

Core Competencies

- Set and machine using 3 and 4 axis CNC Mills
- Read and interpret complex engineered drawings and blueprints
- Working with tight tolerances
- Able to program Haas or Fanuc controls
- Experience with measuring devices.

Advantages

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and experience:

- 5+ years of setting experience on 3 and 4 axis CNC mills
- Valid CNC Machinist certification is an asset
- Able to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Positive attitude and willingness to work!
- Security clearance required. Only available to Canadian Permanent Resident Status or Canadian Citizens

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Experience:

- 3 and 4 axis CNC mills: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- CNC Machinist certification (preferred)
