Position Summary

The Service Dispatcher/Freight Forwarder position is responsible for scheduling the daily operations of our delivery/service team, coordinating schedules, and maintaining excellent communication with customers, dealers, and team members. This role requires exemplary customer service skills with an understanding of the Maritime geography.

Additional understanding of the Freight Forwarding industry is also required to assist with freight deliveries outside of our asset based team. This individual must be comfortable with sourcing different rates and arranging deliveries through different 3PL routes.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, detail-oriented and understanding of how to work with a crew to get the job done.

Requirements

- Responsible for managing dispatching software including properly routing asset based orders to consumers
- Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, and consumers via phone and email with professional etiquette.
- Sources and manages the various freight forwarding requirements and completing orders under budget
- Enter orders accurately and converting draft orders into finalized orders
- Monitor freight movements throughout the supply chain,



analyzing data to identify potential delays or issues before they impact delivery.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to streamline freight forwarding processes and resolve logistical challenges.
- Ability to schedule both service and delivery calls by understanding what the consumer requires
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and maintaining clear communication channels across all stakeholders.

Skills

- Solid analysis skills to evaluate freight data, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Excellent communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Accurate data entry skills with a keen eye for detail to maintain precise shipping records.
- Experience working with freight carriers, 3PL providers, and shipping & receiving operations.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations, documentation procedures, and safety protocols related to freight forwarding.

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
