Our client is a respected Calgary-based developer and builder with a proven track record of delivering high-quality multi-family residential communities throughout Alberta. With several 5 and 6-storey wood frame developments underway and a strong project pipeline for the coming years, they are looking to add a dedicated Superintendent to their growing construction team.
Your new role
As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities for a 5-6 storey wood frame residential project. You will manage daily site operations, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensure project schedules are maintained, and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the project from site start through occupancy while ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
What you'll need to succeed
3+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent on multi-family wood frame projects.
Proven experience working on 4-6 storey wood frame apartment or condominium developments.
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, site logistics, and quality control.
Ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain project schedules in a fast-paced environment.
Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and deficiency lists.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with construction management software is considered an asset.
