Job Description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of Island Health (Vancouver Island Health Authority), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Manager, Coordinator or designate, performs a variety of duties related to registration, scheduling,



information and guidance for remote and virtual clients, according to established contact centre procedures. Provides a positive and culturally protected client experience, while utilizing specialized software applications and office equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience Grade 12 and two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills And Abilities Ability to keyboard at 45 w.p.m.

Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

This position works remotely and will be required to sign a Work From Home Agreement along with Acceptable Use of Island Health Property and Confidentiality Agreements.
