Role Description

Edificio is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead the construction of a mid-rise residential development in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will have a proven track record managing mid-rise residential projects and experience working on brownfield redevelopment sites.

This role requires a hands-on leader capable of coordinating all site activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities





* Manage all day-to-day construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.

* Develop and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules.

* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and inspectors.

* Ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, building codes, and contract requirements.

* Lead site safety and enforce OH&S; regulations.

* Conduct daily toolbox talks and site inspections.

* Maintain project quality standards and oversee QA/QC procedures.

* Coordinate municipal inspections, third-party testing, and occupancy requirements.

* Manage site logistics, deliveries, equipment, and material storage.

* Review shop drawings and identify construction conflicts.

* Work closely with the Project Manager to monitor schedule, budget, and change management.

* Prepare daily site reports including manpower, weather, progress, and issues.

* Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

* Manage deficiency corrections and project turnover.
