World Trade Centre Winnipeg (WTC Winnipeg) is a non-profit organization that supports Manitoba businesses in expanding into international markets. As a member of the World Trade Centers Association, WTC Winnipeg is part of a global network of more than 300 World Trade Centers in nearly 100 countries. The organization offers trade advisory services, global market intelligence, export planning, and professional development programs, including FITTskills courses that lead toward the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation. WTC Winnipeg also hosts high-impact events that connect local companies with industry leaders and the broader business community. Through strategic local and international partnerships, WTC Winnipeg helps drive trade, foster economic growth, and position Manitoba businesses for long-term global success.
Role Description
As the Program Manager, and reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and leading the organization’s projects and programs by leveraging your strong communication, problem-solving skills, and program management expertise. If you’re ready to be a key player and make an impact in a multifaceted environment, this is the role for you. The program manager will be responsible of:
1) Program Strategy & Planning:
- Design and develop yearly calendar and project charters for new programs and initiatives, and present recommendations to the Leadership Team for approval.
- Develop and continuously improve WTC Winnipeg’s programming portfolio to align with organizational priorities and client needs.
2) Program Delivery:
- Lead the successful execution of programs, events, and strategic initiatives while ensuring quality, efficiency, and budget management.
3) Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with clients, partners, sponsors, and service providers, and represent WTC Winnipeg within the business community.
4) Performance & Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor program performance, evaluate outcomes through surveys, and implement improvements to enhance client experience and organizational impact.
5) Operational Excellence:
- Maintain accurate program documentation, reporting, and financial oversight while supporting organizational priorities.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, commerce, Marketing, Event Management, or another related field
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
- Able to present information in a clear and concise manner.
- Exceptional attention to detail and logistical skills to ensure high-quality results.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Strong English communication skills are essential, and French is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances in a multi-tasking work environment.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint and Teams.
- Hands-on experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is considered an asset.
