The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for Part‑Time (0.90 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at Nampa Public School . This position will commence on Aug. 27, 2026 and continue until June 29, 2027. The successful candidate will provide literacy and numeracy interventions for K‑6 students along with support in a grade K‑2 classroom.

Nampa Public School is located in the town of Nampa, approximately 450 km northwest of Edmonton. The school services students in grades K‑6.

Qualifications

- Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience and/or training working with students in a school setting.
- Ability to work with children with varied ages, skill levels, needs and abilities.

Skills

- Willingness to be part of a learning team, take direction, and follow programs without direct supervision.
- Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs.
- Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needs.
- Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers.

Requirements

- Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. The record check must be less than six (6) months old to date of your application.

Rate Of Pay

$22.59 to $28.02 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
