Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Lube Technician in the Waste Management sector in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

The Lube Technician is responsible for performing routine equipment maintenance with a primary focus on lubrication and fluid services. This role ensures vehicles and equipment operate efficiently through regular oil changes and fluid checks. In addition, the technician supports overall shop operations by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and assisting with basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs as needed.

Total rewards:

- $26.00 hourly
- Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm to 11:00pm, Friday, 2:00pm to 6:00pm
- Permanent Full-Time

Responsibilities:

- Service all Company vehicles, such as chassis lubrication, oil changes and cleaning of trucks and any other equipment, as needed
- Conduct vehicle maintenance according to established policies and procedures
- Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance
- Will also be required to clean the shop, paint rims, and generally maintain the appearance of the equipment
- Assist technicians with basic repairs and other maintenance of trucks and equipment
- Will be lubricating and conducting fluid services on all Miller Waste equipment, as needed
- Drain old oil, replace filters and refill with correct amount of new oil
- Inspect and top off various fluids like transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant, and windshield washer fluid. Apply lubricants to various vehicle components, such as chassis parts and wheel bearings,



to reduce friction and wear

Successful candidates will have:

- Previous experience as a Lube Technician or in a similar role is considered an asset
- Mechanically inclined and possess a strong work ethic
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence for this position
- Strong desire to learn and an ability to apply that knowledge during daily duties
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting and work in a team environment
- Must be available to work late when trucks are behind schedule, and may be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Should be striving to obtain a Technician’s Licence
- Must possess a basic set of hand tools
