This role reports to the Head of Strategic Initiatives in Wealth HQ and partners closely with the Wealth COO to deliver the organization’s most critical cross-line-of-business priorities. As part of a small, high-impact team, you will lead initiatives that shape the future of Wealth Management—spanning cost optimization, growth strategies, integration, and innovation. This is a unique opportunity to work on enterprise-level challenges, influence senior decision-making, and deliver measurable outcomes with pace and precision.ResponsibilitiesLeads the design and execution of high-impact, cross-line-of-business strategic initiatives from business case through delivery, ensuring measurable value and senior alignmentPartners closely with the Wealth COO and senior leadership to advance enterprise priorities and resolve complex challengesProvides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisorMakes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/groupMay network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practicesManages multiple programs/projects simultaneously and resolves conflicting prioritiesHelps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategyKeeps stakeholders informed of messages, recommendations, decisions, process and progressBuilds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholdersEnsures alignment between stakeholdersDefines business requirements for analytics & reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision makingDevelops and applies the framework for databases; oversees databasemanagement in adherence with data governance standardsMonitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issuesLeads change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiativesCollaborates across BMO to develop communications strategies and ensure consistency of messaging,
in order to positively influence or change behaviourLeads the execution of programs and initiatives; assesses and adapts as needed to ensure quality of executionActs as a relationship manager on assigned projects/programs and ensures alignment to overall enterprise and group goalsCollaborates with internal & external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, develop and implementation of programs & solutionsBreaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendationsDrives cross business/group coordination and logistical support for the implementation of changeWorks on initiatives with varied complexity, typically involving multiple stakeholders across BMOOperates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholdersApplies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routineImplements changes in response to shifting trendsBroader work or accountabilities may be assigned as neededQualificationsTypically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in strategy, management consulting, or enterprise transformation roles is an assetBroad knowledge of Bank products, services, and organizationIn-depth/expert knowledge of the wealth management and/or the financial industrySeasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledgeAble to manage ambiguity and operate in a fast-paced, high-visibility environmentVerbal & written communication skills - In-depth / ExpertAnalytical and problem solving skills - In-depth / ExpertInfluence skills - In-depth / ExpertCollaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration - In-depth / ExpertAble to manage ambiguityData driven decision making - In-depth / ExpertSalarySalary:$86,000.00 - $160,000.00Pay TypePay Type:SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.
Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
