Site Superintendent – 6-Storey Wood-Frame Multifamily Construction

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day construction operations of a 6-storey wood-frame multifamily residential project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from excavation through occupancy.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules while coordinating trades, suppliers, consultants, and inspectors.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors to review progress, schedules, safety, and deficiencies.
- Monitor productivity and identify potential schedule delays, implementing corrective actions when required.
- Coordinate municipal inspections, consultant reviews, and occupancy requirements.
- Maintain accurate site documentation including daily reports, deficiency logs, safety records, and progress updates.




- Manage site logistics, material deliveries, manpower planning, and trade sequencing.
- Foster a positive and skilled work environment while maintaining strong relationships with project stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of Superintendent experience on multifamily residential construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering 4- to 6-storey wood-frame apartment or condominium projects.
- Strong knowledge of wood-frame construction methods, building envelope systems, and Alberta building codes.
- Proven experience coordinating multiple trades and managing complex construction schedules.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of quality control, deficiency management, and construction safety practices.
- Proficient with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
