Job Description We are looking for a seasoned Performance Engineering Lead that is passionate about testing large-scale, mission-critical software in a fast-paced agile environment. This role offers you the opportunity to apply your domain knowledge to new product requests and collaborate with other architects inside and outside the company. The ideal candidate will be partnered with talented full stack engineers that share our passion and great pride in the easy elegance and usability of our solution. As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role.Job Responsibilities Strategize & lead testing of TD Bank's production like infrastructure with a focus on automation & scalePromote and apply best practices for performance testing of scalable and reliable services across engineeringBe a subject matter expert and partner with our engineering team on areas of performance and scaleDrive initiatives to evolve our current performance framework/tools/processes and keep it in line with best practices and scalability needs.Participate in root cause analysis for performance related incidences and determining how we can prevent them in the future, Identify performance bottlenecks and create repeatable processesBe a performance test advocate and advisor for the performance tools and frameworks that serve as a model for others with regard to quality, scalability, operability, maintainability, etcParticipate in defining the technical vision and architecture with performance in mindCommunicate and collaborate across levels, functions,



and organizational boundariesMentor and coach junior engineers to leverage their full potentialExperience And / Or Education University or post-graduate degree in computer science or engineering5+ years of Performance Testing/Monitoring of Web Applications5-7 years of eading performance test engineeringTrack record of leading successful large scale Infrastructure projectsCandidates MUST be able to code with a programming language using standard software development practices like unit testing and iterative developmentPossess good knowledge in network and edge technologiesDemonstrate excellent Linux fundamentals and solid understanding of diagnosing system utilizationExperience working with Agile methodologiesPossess excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence othersFamiliarity with CI/CD pipeline for performance testingExperience with Performance test framework development and automationExperience working with large scale distributed systems & large data volumesExperience with some of the following technologies and services:Cloud based Infrastructure as a Service (especially Azure)Container based service schedulers (e.G., Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, etc.)MySQL, Java, PythonPerformance testing tool - JmeterLog management tools (Splunk)Monitoring systems (Prometheus, Dynatrace, Datadog, )Who We Are TD is one of the world 's leading global financial institutions and is the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
