CENTRUS

The Centre Block Rehabilitation Project is a complex long‑term heritage renovation, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation project of national interest within the Parliamentary Precinct. The project is serviced by CENTRUS, a dedicated, multi‑disciplinary team with members from A49 and other joint venture organizations. Working from Canada’s national capital, the team is focused on the extensive renovation, repair, upgrade, and replacement of various crucial components of the building. In joining this office, A49 team members have the opportunity to influence the way our nation’s Parliament works for the next 100 years.

Responsibilities

- Conduct site visits, attend site meetings, oversee site activities and provide quality control for a major complex rehabilitation project.
- Take responsibility for project progress and site reports.
- Perform and supervise shop drawing reviews, answer Contractor requests for information and issue contract changes.
- Assist with quality control/constructibility reviews on drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate and coordinate with a large multi‑disciplinary team.

Qualifications

- 6+ years’ experience with a focus on the construction phase of projects.
- Sound technical and building envelope knowledge, strong understanding of applicable codes, and familiarity with construction practices on complex projects.
- Experience working on Heritage Conservation projects considered an asset.
- Recognized credentials from a construction contract administration course or other equivalent training considered an asset.




- Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles & workflows; REVIT software; Microsoft 365 environment; and Bluebeam.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 – 102,500

MB & ON: $70,600 – 97,200

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $69,900 – 92,900

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
