Working in a team environment, the Operator is responsible for packaging quality envelopes into appropriately labelled boxes, assisting the Adjuster in the start-up of the machine, and maintaining a safe work area while maintaining optimal productivity. Expected to report for work on time. This role is for the Afternoon Shift: 2pm – 10pm.Starting salary: 18.62$ Responsibilities: Check the docket to ensure that the correct boxes, labels, and envelopes are being used for the order Assists the Adjuster with the start-up of the machine Removes finished envelopes from the machine Inspects the envelopes Removes damaged and poor quality envelopes & replaces them Applies proper labels on boxes of product Packs and stamps boxes Arranges finished product cartons on skids Maintains a clean and secure working area (including sweeping, mopping & general housekeeping) Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Minimum Secondary School Diploma or equivalent. Capable of lifting 40 lbs. Ability to read and understand written instructions Ability to write legibly and use a ruler Basic math skills (count & track number of envelopes produced) Good hand/eye co-ordination.
