Qualifications

- Active practicing licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba, or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba, or eligibility for active practicing licensure with these colleges
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Training
- Knowledge, competence, and ability to demonstrate clinical nursing skills and concepts in accordance with approved nursing standards
- Ability to make effective decisions regarding nursing care
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic software programs
- Effective problem-solving and organizational skills; ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients
- Satisfactory employment record required

Position Summary

In line with the vision, mission, and values of Prairie Mountain Health and its affiliates, the Nurse II provides comprehensive nursing care to patients/residents/clients according to established standards, policies,



and procedures. Nurse IIs uphold their skilled responsibilities by practicing in accordance with the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics, the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice, the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Psychiatric Nursing Practice, the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA), the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act, and other relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

- Practice within their scope of practice, expertise, training, and experience, adhering to the RHPA or the Registered Psychiatric Nurse Act of Manitoba, Standards of Practice (CRNM or CRPNM), entry-level competencies for RNs or RPNs, and the Professional Code of Ethics.
- Obtain and maintain relevant competencies as required by PMH.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
