Our client in the logistics space is looking for a contract based System Administrator to manage and secure a hybrid Microsoft infrastructure environment across cloud and on-premises platforms.

This role will focus on Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Azure services, and Active Directory administration, ensuring secure identity management, endpoint compliance, and operational stability. The ideal candidate will also have basic knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O;) to support troubleshooting and environment operations.

Duration: 6 months to start

Responsibilities

- Administer Microsoft Entra ID including identity lifecycle management, RBAC, Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
- Manage and support Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration and user access
- Maintain hybrid identity infrastructure using Azure AD Connect, SSO, and password protection policies
- Monitor authentication activity and troubleshoot identity and access-related issues
- Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, compliance policies, application deployment, and security baselines
- Manage Windows Autopilot, endpoint provisioning, patching, and endpoint protection
- Support mobile device management (MDM) for iOS and Android devices
- Implement and administer Microsoft Defender for Endpoint policies and security controls
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and compliance-related incidents
- Manage Azure infrastructure components including virtual machines, virtual networks, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and storage accounts
- Configure and maintain Azure Backup, Site Recovery,



and disaster recovery solutions
- Automate operational tasks using Azure Automation and enforce governance policies
- Administer on-premises Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid integrations
- Perform server maintenance, monitoring, patching, and operational support activities
- Provide basic support and troubleshooting for Dynamics 365 F&O; environments and Azure integrations
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support guides
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to support secure and efficient operations
- Participate in on-call and after-hours support as required

Requirements

- 3-5 years of experience managing Microsoft cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Azure administration, and Microsoft 365
- Experience supporting hybrid Active Directory environments and identity synchronization
- Understanding of endpoint management, compliance policies, and device security best practices
- Robust knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, routing, VPNs, and firewalls
- Basic knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O;) infrastructure and integrations
- Experience with Azure Backup, disaster recovery, and automation tools
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
