As a permanent Emergency Physician at UBC Hospital, you will be part of a team delivering care to a significant patient volume, including pediatric cases. This role emphasizes teaching and scholarly activities along with hands-on emergency care. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in British Columbia and be committed to a versatile shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency services to over 23,000 patients yearly
• Conduct teaching sessions for medical students on-shift
• Collaborate and communicate in a compassionate manner
• Engage in research or quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain professionalism in a high-stress environment
Requirements:
• Active CPSBC license is required
• Desired certifications include CCFP-EM and experience
• Advanced training in ACLS, ATLS, and PAL is preferred
• 5+ years in high volume emergency settings
• Valued commitment to education and clinical practice
