Sr. IT Project Manager (Payments) – CGI, TorontoThis role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge St, Toronto) and/or client office at a minimum 2 days per week – subject to change at any time.ResponsibilitiesDefine and manage overall RTR program roadmap, delivery plan and governance structure.Oversee multiple delivery streams across technology, operations, risk and compliance.Establish and manage stakeholder relationships at executive and operational levels (CIO, STOs, LTOs).Drive alignment between technical delivery and business objectives, ensuring on-time and within-budget execution.Track progress against milestones, manage risks and issues, and ensure transparent communication.Prepare and deliver executive reports, steering committee updates and status dashboards.Lead vendor coordination and ensure adherence to Payments Canada RTR specifications and regulatory expectations.Oversee change-management and adoption activities within impacted business and operations teams.Required Qualifications10+ years of experience in project, program or portfolio management within financial services, preferably in payment modernization,



RTR or ISO 20022 initiatives.Strong understanding of Real-Time Payments ecosystems, payment rails and clearing/settlement frameworks.Demonstrated experience managing multi-phase, multi-vendor transformation programs with budgets exceeding 5 million dollars.Deep knowledge of Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies; ability to manageboth Agile and waterfall streams.Experience with cloud-native payment systems, API-based integrations and DevOps environments.Proven track record in executive stakeholder management, negotiation and governance leadership.Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.PMP, PgMP or SAFe certifications are an asset.Prior experience working with or for major Canadian banks or Payments Canada initiatives preferred.Estimated salary: 115000-165000.
