Senior Platform Engineer PositionThe State Street Cyber Architecture & Engineering team is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer. The Cyber Data & Analytics team delivers models, insights, and tooling to help Cybersecurity teams make faster, more informed decisions as we work to secure State Street’s digital footprint.Why this role is key to usAs a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the architecture and implementation of complex cloud & hybrid data solutions for all the customer teams at State Street in the form of an internal platform, deploying and maintaining our vast infrastructure using IaC tools, integrating new tools and technologies to boost efficiency and meet new challenges, and working with other engineers, architects, and managers to continue innovating in all the cloud efforts of the team.What you will be responsible forArchitect cloud & hybrid infrastructure across various cloud providers and on-premises locations with multi-region HA & DR capabilitiesParticipate in Site Reliability Engineering practices, continuously remove toil by automating and designing it outMentor Platform Engineers on the team and participate in knowledge sharing sessionsScale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.Drive the technical vision for platforms owned by the Platform Engineering team, continuously review the technologies used to maintain the optimal tech stackDevelop software solutions for complex application and cloud infrastructure management and eliminate ClickOpsBuild a robust modern platform with a fusion of purpose-made code and industry-standard tools,



increasing team effectiveness and eliminating unnecessary toil.Develop software tools for deployment, monitoring, alerting and operations automationOwn the platform implementation and functionality end-to-end with clear understanding from the end user standpointMaintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system performanceDesign and build petabyte scale systems for high availability, high throughput, data consistency, security, and end user privacy, defining our next generation of data analytics toolingCome up with solutions for scaling data systems for various business needs and collaborate in a dynamic and consultative environment.Education & Preferred QualificationsMinimum 8+ years of production engineering and management (deployment, release, maintenance, migration) using DevOps toolset and methodologiesMinimum 8+ years in developing production code using at least one high-level programming language like Python, Golang, Ruby, JavaScriptMinimum 5+ years in medium to large-scale production infrastructure management experience with at least one of the major cloud providers - AWS, GCP, AzureExperience building and managing cybersecurity platforms such as Splunk, Sentinel, ELK, Anvilogic, Crogl, Databricks, etc.Strong expertise in operation and workflow automation using tools like Ansible, Chef, PuppetProduction experience in the design and implementation of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation,
