The Business Development Manager for Canada and APAC will partner with the Sr. Business Development Manager of Global, office leaders, and firm stakeholders to develop and execute initiatives that drive growth for Littler Mendelson, P.C. (LMPC) across the regions. This is a hybrid position located in Toronto. Pursuant to Ontario Employment Act, 2000 (ESA), the annual salary range for this position is $124,800 to $152,600 CAD, contingent on relevant experience and education, and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses. We offer generous compensation and benefits packages. This is a new position. We do not use AI-based tools to assist in the screening, assessment, or selection of applicants for this role. Responsibilities Responsible for serving as the primary business development advisor to Littler Mendelson, P.C. offices, practice groups, and attorneys across Canada and the Asia‑Pacific region, providing strategic, market‑appropriate guidance aligned with client and firm needs. Collaborate with Office Managing Shareholders and global firm leadership to develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with the Firm’s overarching global objectives, including the establishment of measurable goals to drive Littler Mendelson, P.C. awareness and revenue. Execute and support a regional business development growth strategy for Canada and APAC, with a focus on proactive lead generation, cross‑selling, global collaboration, and the development of appropriate business development resources, training, and guidance to enhance attorney business development acumen. Lead the full lifecycle of business development initiatives, including opportunity identification, lead generation, proposal and pitch strategy, and follow‑up through decision. Manage overall strategy and coordination for proposals and pitches in partnership with attorneys and corporate business development team members, including opportunity assessment, competitive intelligence, value proposition development, and deliverable coordination. Identify, evaluate, and manage business development opportunities arising from events, sponsorships, and special initiatives, and nurture related leads through the sales cycle. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the firm’s value proposition, full portfolio of services, and innovative offerings, and communicate them effectively to internal and external audiences. Collaborate with Business Insights, Knowledge Management, Data,



and other firm resources to monitor and interpret market trends related to labor & employment law, industries, and client needs across Canada and APAC. Partner with Business Development leadership on firmwide initiatives and special projects, contributing regional insight and execution support. Coordinate and support regional seminars, conferences, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities, and cultivate relationships with professional and industry organizations to enhance visibility and referral opportunities. Partner with the Communications team on legal rankings and directories, including Chambers, as applicable to the regions. Provide marketing and business development orientation and education for new attorneys and staff, including an overview of MBD resources, tools, and best practices. Contribute to the development and localization of marketing and client development materials to ensure regional relevance and consistency. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with attorneys, firm leadership, and business professionals across multiple geographies. Strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with the ability to balance regional market needs and overall firm objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate persuasively and professionally. Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines. Proactive, independent, and solutions‑oriented, with sound judgment and confidence to recommend alternative approaches when appropriate. Strong proofreading and quality‑control skills. Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment while contributing effectively as part of a global team. Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally and regionally, as needed. Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.



Experience Required Minimum 7-8 years of marketing and/or business development experience, preferably in a multi‑office law firm or professional services environment. Experience supporting international or cross‑border business development initiatives strongly preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferred.
