Job Summary

Technical specialist and primary customer support contact to diagnose and execute complex repairs to engine products at the customer’s site.

Will Make An Impact In The Following Ways

- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools

Availability

Availability to travel out of town sometimes overnight. This position has on‑call responsibilities (rotational schedule between all technicians).

Qualifications

- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Performs complex unassisted engine overhauls
- Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
- Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
- Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation

Requirements

- Experience with high horsepower applications
- Five year motor vehicle report, free from major violations, and must meet the conditions of the company policy

Education, Licenses, Certifications

- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit

Experience





- Significant field service work experience
- Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
- Customer service experience
- Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
