Your Role At Tumi:
As part of our Retail team, the Associate Manager is responsible for creating a client experience that accurately reflects the ethos of our brand while building and maintaining strong client relationships and driving sales through outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed individual and store baseline goals for personal sales and KPI metrics inclusive of conversion, DPT, UPT, and Client Data Capture.
- Display good initiative, plan and prioritize, exercise strategic thinking, and champion change in an effective manner.
- Take pride in work and strive for excellence; take responsibility for performance and complete all assigned tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Training and Developing: teach others through consistent role‑play and coaching, demonstrate openness to new ideas, and assist the Store Manager with training and development for store associates. Complete quarterly goal‑setting for personal development.
- Coaching and Feedback: clearly articulate strengths, goals, and opportunities; use critical thinking, remain solution‑oriented; and utilize company tools to create a 360‑degree coaching culture.
- Communication & Relationship Building: exercise strong written and verbal skills, adapt communications upward, laterally, and to the team, demonstrate ethical conduct, promote the organization’s business goals, adapt flexibly to change, remain calm and deescalate situations, and collaborate effectively with the team.
- Compliance: manage personal timecards to ensure payroll accuracy, maintain Tumi University Training, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Visual Merchandising/Client Experience: ensure the store follows visual guidelines and directives, enforce excellent client services through client books, thank‑you cards, and event strategies, and ensure a consistent superior client experience.
Qualifications
- Understand the TUMI brand and have a true passion for the lifestyle, clients, and product assortment.
- Value a collaborative environment and have an openness to feedback.
- Can move around the store, lift, and push boxes that weigh 30 pounds, and use a ladder to complete job duties.
- Have robust sales and client experience, preferably in the luxury market.
- Can demonstrate proven success in meeting sales goals and achieving KPIs.
- Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, mornings, and holidays as needed.
- Have a strong sense of integrity and an ability to lead by example.
- Have strong time‑management skills.
