Human Resources Generalist (Site Lead & Career Growth Opportunity)
Location: Brampton, ON (Must be local with strong area knowledge)
Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000 per year + benefits
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in leading day-to-day personnel operations. You will act as the dedicated strategic partner to local site leadership and the primary point of contact for all employees. This hands-on role spans the entire employee lifecycle, driving initiatives in employee relations, workplace safety, performance management, compliance, and culture building.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Leadership & Advisory: Provide direct guidance to employees and facility leaders on HR policies, ESA compliance, and workplace best practices.
- Employee Relations: Conduct workplace investigations and resolve employee relations matters fairly, thoroughly, and confidentially.
- Safety & Claims Management: Foster a proactive safety culture, lead workplace health and safety initiatives,
and manage localized claims/accommodations.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee full-cycle onboarding, orientation, internal employment changes, and offboarding documentation.
- Performance & Coaching: Coordinate tracking for performance review processes while coaching site leaders on performance management and documentation.
- HR Operations & Payroll Liaison: Partner with corporate payroll to ensure data accuracy; maintain precise employee records within the HRIS.
- Culture & Engagement: Coordinate localized volunteer, social, and fundraising initiatives to build a highly engaged workforce.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive HR experience in a Generalist capacity.
- Industry Background: Strong preference for experience working within Logistics, Warehouse, Distribution Centers, or 3PL environments.
- Geographic Knowledge: Must be a local resident with a deep understanding of the Brampton/Peel Region workforce dynamics.
- Language Skills: Full fluency in English is required. Multilingual capabilities in Hindi or Punjabi are highly preferred to effectively support our diverse onsite team.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Certification: A CHRP/CHRL designation (or progress toward it) is considered a strong asset.
- Core Skills: Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA), human rights code, and OHSA. Exceptional conflict resolution and relationship-building skills are required.
