Position: Senior Project Manager

Sector: ICI Construction

Job type: Permanent full-time

Location: Eastern Ontario (Ottawa based)

Salary Range: $135,000-$160,000

This position is accountable for the overall planning and delivery of projects built under a variety of collaborative project delivery models, and to complete each project, safely, within time and budgetary constraints of our clients. Some of the Senior Project Manager responsibilities include:

- Leading projects through the design and preconstruction phase
- Providing overall safety leadership to the project team and subcontractors
- Planning, scheduling, and controlling activities of a project
- Negotiating and managing prime contract and subcontract agreements
- Managing project budgets and billings
- Overseeing contract administration (RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, etc.)
- Fostering a collaborative environment with clients, design consultants, subcontractors and project end users.

The preferred candidate will:

- Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in delivering construction projects under progressive design build, integrated project delivery, CMAR or design-built models.
- Have at least ten (10) years’ project management experience in Institutional, Commercial, Industrial (ICI) construction sector.
- Hold a P. Eng, a Gold Seal Certificate (GSC), or a project management certificate (PMP).
- Have advanced scheduling skills using MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Have excellent knowledge of the greater Ottawa market and key players.
- Have direct project management of large Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial construction projects valued between $10million and $200 million.
- Demonstrate superior leadership, motivational, and mentoring skills.
- Have strong management,



negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills in English (mandatory) and in French (preferred).
- Be collaborative, service and results oriented.
- Be able to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
- Be eligible for security clearances and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Have superior working knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
