Industry Solutions Consultant MongoDB —a leading database software—seeks a passionate technologist to join our Industry Solutions Team (IST). The role is based in Toronto, Canada and supports a hybrid working model. As an Industry Solutions Consultant, you will help modernize enterprise software and guide clients through data‑driven transformation. You’ll collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and pre‑sales teams to position MongoDB as the industry solution of choice. Key Responsibilities Partner with our sales team to ensure success in accounts ranging from small startups to large enterprises. Customizing solutions, client presentations, and other sales enablement activities. Support sales through enablement: technical discovery, demos, trainings, proof of value, technical documentation of decision criteria, and manage multiple sales opportunities in parallel. Translate technical concepts and patterns into business solutions for internal and external deliverables, clients, partners, and other teams. Liaise with the field to gather feedback and relay it to Product Management, playing an active role in MongoDB’s go‑to‑market strategy. Generate and deliver content such as white papers, blogs, webinars, thought leadership pieces, speaking events, and YouTube videos that communicate the value of MongoDB as a leading industry solution. Deeply build foundational and technical knowledge of MongoDB’s product suite; manage your own learning schedule and prioritize projects. Mentor and support other pre‑sales team members; share best practices. Collaborate across teams to build scalable processes and increase internal efficiency. Required Qualifications 7+ years of relevant work experience in the tech sector. Robust programming and software engineering skills for demo development. Ability and willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new industries. Passion and curiosity about emerging technologies.



Willingness to mentor more junior teammates. Strong foundational knowledge of data and computer science. Effective stakeholder management across multiple teams. Excellent presentation and communication skills—both oral and written. Pro‑active, self‑starter attitude with a drive to become an expert. Willingness to travel up to 30% for conferences, clients, and company events. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or equivalent work experience in the tech sector. Experience in a SaaS enterprise sales environment with true client connectivity. Experience selling databases and/or deploying applications with major cloud providers. Experience with database programming and data modelling. MongoDB Certification. Proficiency in more than one language. Learning Opportunities In‑depth understanding of the MongoDB product suite (core database, Atlas, Atlas Search & Vector Search, Charts, and related tools). Exposure to complementary technologies such as Apache Kafka and Kubernetes. Modern architecture design patterns and methodologies (microservices, event‑driven architectures, DevOps, cloud). Insight into MongoDB’s partner technologies and collaboration models. Sales techniques and soft skills (presentations, demos, white‑boarding, discovery, objection handling). Exposure to diverse markets and interesting use cases. Compensation Base salary range: $105,000 – $145,000 CAD (Canada).
