Hays is proud to partner with a leading real estate owner and developer in the search for a Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a prestigious newly developed residential community in the Old Port of Montréal.

The organization is seeking a hands-on and customer-focused Property Manager who will play a key role in delivering exceptional tenant service, supporting building operations, and ensuring the continued success of this flagship asset.

Your New Role

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a newly developed property comprising approximately 300 Doors. Acting as the primary point of contact for residents, the successful candidate will oversee tenant relations, coordinate maintenance activities, support building operations, and ensure an exceptional resident experience.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong communication skills, professionalism, and a customer-service-oriented mindset. The Property Manager will work closely with the operations team to maintain a best-in-class living environment while supporting the continued growth and stabilization of the asset.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents and address tenant inquiries, concerns, and service requests.
- Coordinate and track work orders through BuildingStack while liaising with contractors and service providers.
- Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance or operational issues.
- Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting tasks when appropriate and coordinate larger repairs with vendors.
- Support resident move-ins and move-outs and maintain strong resident communications.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager on operational and technical matters affecting the property.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance programs across the asset.
- Monitor building systems and escalate technical issues when required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety,



and building regulations.
- Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors and service providers.
- Assist with future budgeting and operational planning initiatives.
- Foster positive relationships with both residential and commercial tenants.
- Help maintain a high standard of service and community engagement throughout the property.
- Support vendor management, service contracts, and day-to-day building administration.

What You'll Need to Succeed

- 3+ Experience in residential property management, building operations, facilities management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Strong customer service and tenant relations experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to be involved in day-to-day building operations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Technical aptitude and the ability to coordinate minor maintenance tasks is considered a strong asset.
- Experience using BuildingStack or similar property management software is preferred.
- Robust problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to service delivery.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and build positive relationships with residents, contractors, and colleagues.
