? Opportunity Overview

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to help lead two manufacturing facilities and support the General Manager in driving operational excellence.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished manufacturing leader who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow into a future General Manager position.

The successful candidate will oversee approximately 155 employees across two plants while helping improve productivity, safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.

✅ What We're Looking For

? Experience & Background

✔️ 5–10 years of experience within automotive manufacturing

✔️ Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing leadership or management role

✔️ Strong understanding of plant operations and production environments

✔️ Experience managing budgets, operational costs, and business performance

✔️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

✔️ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

✔️ Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems)

✔️ Thorough understanding of Ontario Health & Safety legislation

✔️ Proven ability to motivate, coach, and lead teams

? Key Responsibilities

? Plant Leadership

? Support the General Manager in the overall leadership of two manufacturing facilities

? Help oversee daily operations across approximately 155 employees

? Ensure production targets,



quality standards, and customer expectations are consistently achieved

? Respond quickly to production challenges, equipment downtime, quality concerns, safety incidents, and customer-related issues

? Promote operational excellence while maintaining a safe and productive work setting

? Operational Performance

? Monitor key operational metrics and identify opportunities for improvement

? Drive initiatives focused on increasing productivity and manufacturing efficiency

? Improve the utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials

? Support inventory control, cost reduction, and throughput improvements

? Assist with production planning and operational execution

? Financial & Business Support

? Assist with annual budgeting and cost control initiatives

? Support forecasting, capital investment planning, and workforce planning

? Participate in business growth initiatives and customer presentations

? Review operational performance and recommend improvements that strengthen overall competitiveness

? Leadership & Team Development

? Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and departmental leaders

? Foster a positive culture built on accountability, teamwork, trust,



and open communication

? Encourage employee engagement and continuous improvement

? Ensure appropriate training and performance management practices are consistently applied

? Help prepare the organization for future growth through strong leadership
