Ramy Hill Sales is a Canadian-owned sales, distribution, and manufacturing company serving customers across Canada and the United States. We specialize in uniforms, custom menu covers, table linens, name badges, presentation products, and other products for the hospitality, senior living, healthcare, corporate, and food-service industries.

We are looking for an organized and dependable Buyer to manage purchasing activities and maintain strong relationships with our vendors.

Job Overview

The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing products and materials from our suppliers, following up on orders, managing vendor communication, and helping ensure products are received on time and at the correct cost.

This role is well suited to someone with a few years of purchasing experience who is confident communicating with suppliers, managing multiple orders, and resolving purchasing issues.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers.
- Review sales orders and inventory requirements to determine purchasing needs.
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, product availability, lead times, minimum order quantities, and delivery dates.
- Follow up on outstanding purchase orders and provide updates to the sales and operations teams.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing suppliers.
- Identify potential new suppliers and compare pricing, quality, service, and delivery capabilities.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, freight costs, and other purchasing conditions when appropriate.
- Review vendor confirmations to ensure pricing, quantities, and delivery details are accurate.
- Resolve issues involving backorders, shortages, damaged products, incorrect shipments, and delayed deliveries.
- Maintain accurate purchasing information,



vendor records, and product costs in NetSuite or other company systems.
- Monitor vendor performance and communicate recurring issues to management.
- Work closely with sales, shipping, receiving, accounting, and production teams.
- Assist with cost-saving initiatives and opportunities to improve purchasing processes.

Qualifications

- 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, or vendor management.
- Experience working with suppliers and managing purchase orders.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Comfortable negotiating pricing and discussing order requirements with vendors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Good attention to detail, particularly when reviewing pricing, quantities, and product information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general office software.
- Experience using NetSuite or another ERP system is an asset.
- Experience in distribution, manufacturing, uniforms, apparel, hospitality products, or promotional products is an asset.
