Co-located with Multimatic's prototype manufacturing and motorsports team enables industry leading rapid development cycle through strong collaboration.The RoleMultimatic's Mechanisms Engineering team is looking for talented Senior Design Engineers to help create innovative solutions for the world's leading OEMs. Our team develops everything from side door hinges to advanced motion systems, including active aerodynamic devices and PowerDoorTM actuators. In this role, you'll take automotive components from concept through to high-volume production, ensuring they meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive continuous improvement in design process and product performanceGenerate innovative design concepts to satisfy OEM customer requirementsCreate and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings with GD&T, and engineering documentation such as DFMEAs, DVP&Rs,



tolerance stack-ups and other engineering calculationsLead product development through defining and reviewing virtual and physical validation studiesWork in close partnership with program management, process and quality teams at Multimatic's manufacturing divisions to support DFM, DFA, and VA/VE activitiesCollaborate with Multimatic's Electronics and Software teams to deliver integrated solutions for powered mechanismsHands‐on assembly of new design concepts to support prototype builds, testing, and validationCommunicate directly with customers to understand technical requirements, provide design solutions and program updatesProvide technical mentorship to support knowledge sharingQualifications & SkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline8+ years of progressive experience in automotive component designProven leadership of major programs from concept development through production releaseDemonstrated track record of driving and executing key product and technology initiativesAdvanced proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D GD&T documentation (CATIA or NX preferred)Deep expertise in kinematics, materials selection, and design for high-volume manufacturing and assemblyExperience defining and validating product requirements, including DVP&Rs development and executionStrong background in product risk assessment methodologies,
