Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Physiotherapist role based in Cobourg, ON. The Physiotherapist will assess patients with a variety of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide hands‑on therapies, exercise prescription, and education. Daily responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments, documenting findings and progress, coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team, and communicating clearly with patients about goals and expectations. The role also involves monitoring outcomes, adjusting interventions as needed,
and contributing to clinic quality improvement and best‑practice protocols. The Physiotherapist will maintain professional standards of practice, uphold clinic policies, and support a positive, inclusive patient experience.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills in musculoskeletal and orthopedic physiotherapy, including exercise prescription and manual therapy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation specialists, physicians, and therapists.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills, with a focus on clear, empathetic, and inclusive interaction.
- Solid documentation, time management, and organizational abilities to manage caseload and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Commitment to evidence‑based practice, continuous learning, and career development in physiotherapy.
- Recognized degree in Physiotherapy and eligibility for licensure/registration with the appropriate provincial regulatory body in Ontario.
- CPR/First Aid certification and familiarity with clinic safety, infection control, and privacy regulations.
- Experience in orthopedic, sports, or outpatient physiotherapy settings is an asset.
